FlexRadio’s MLS-9601 high-power wideband HF communications system pairs the advanced ML-9600X wideband SDR transceiver with the rugged FPA-1K 1 kW power amplifier to deliver mission-ready HF performance for demanding commercial, government, and defense operations. With up to 78 kHz transmit and 1.2 MHz receive bandwidth, a full suite of MIL-STD/NATO waveforms (including 2G/3G/4G ALE, MIL-STD-188-110D/141D, STANAG 4285/4415/4529/4538/4539/5069), and ultra-low-phase-noise architecture, the MLS-9601 enables resilient, high-throughput long-range HF communications in both fixed and remote installations.
The system leverages the open SmartSDR™ API with VITA-49 streaming for RF/IF and FFT data, enabling rapid integration, remote operation, and development of mission-specific applications. Its built-in 100 W transceiver PAsupports independent low-power operation when required, while the 1 kW FPA-1K stage provides effortless scaling for HF transport, ISR, and robust voice/data missions. Optional GPSDO and precision time-stamping enhance capability for DF, TDOA, beam steering, and other advanced applications.
