Gerald Youngblood
Founder & Chairman
Gerald Youngblood founded FlexRadio Systems in 2003 to revolutionize high-frequency communications through software-defined radio (SDR). He led the company from a groundbreaking concept to a globally respected provider of SDR technology in both commercial and defense markets. A recognized innovator, Gerald also brings experience in venture-backed startups and capital markets, including a reverse merger IPO. As Chairman, he remains deeply involved in shaping FlexRadio’s long-term vision and supporting strategic initiatives across its growing product and customer base.
Matt Youngblood
President & CEO
Matt Youngblood is the President and CEO of FlexRadio Systems, bringing 17 years of experience with the company. He has served in leadership roles across marketing, operations, finance, and sales, giving him a comprehensive view of the business. Matt earned his BA from Texas A&M and an MBA from Baylor University. Since becoming CEO in 2022, he has led FlexRadio’s expansion into new markets, including government and defense communications, while maintaining its leadership in commercial SDR.
Stephen Hicks
Chief Technology Officer
Stephen Hicks is CTO at FlexRadio Systems and a leading expert in software-defined radio and RF design. With over 20 years in electrical engineering and product development, he’s played a pivotal role in shaping FlexRadio’s core technologies. Stephen has held key technical roles at Texas Instruments and Vitria Technology. At FlexRadio, he has led innovation efforts behind the FLEX-8000 series and helped secure major defense collaborations, including work with BAE Systems and the U.S. Air Force.
Lori Hicks
VP Sales & Marketing
Lori Hicks serves as Vice President of Marketing at FlexRadio Systems, where she has led strategy for more than 15 years. Her work spans branding, product marketing, communications, and sales support. Prior to FlexRadio, she held director-level marketing positions at Siemens, Covaro, and Adaptix, focused on the telecom and wireless sectors. At FlexRadio, Lori drives messaging around SDR technology and helps position the company as a leader in secure, resilient global communications for commercial and defense markets.
Ed Gonzalez
VP Engineering
Ed Gonzalez is Vice President of Engineering at FlexRadio Systems, where he leads software development and product innovation. Since joining in 2013, Ed has advanced through roles from engineer to director, and now VP, overseeing major projects across the SDR portfolio. He holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from Texas State University in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Ed was instrumental in FlexRadio’s collaboration with BAE Systems to support the U.S. Air Force HF modernization effort.
Frankie Mossman
VP Operations
Frankie Mossman serves as Vice President of Operations at FlexRadio Systems, where she leads production, planning, sourcing, and logistics in support of the company’s software defined radio solutions for government and commercial customers. She brings more than two decades of global supply chain and operations leadership, including senior roles across high‑tech manufacturing, logistics, and SaaS. At FlexRadio, Frankie focuses on building resilient, data‑driven operations that align factory output and supplier performance with mission requirements, ensuring reliable delivery and lifecycle support for advanced HF and SDR platforms.
