Waveform Support Processor

FlexRadio’s optional waveform processor provides a dedicated, high-performance compute environment for mission-specific signal processing and custom waveform execution. Built around a quad-core ARM Cortex-A72 running at 1.5 GHz, this standalone module isolates user applications from the main radio architecture, ensuring secure, predictable, real-time performance. Customer-developed waveforms run inside a Docker containerized framework, offering a modern, portable, and easily maintainable deployment model. This approach gives integrators and mission developers the freedom to innovate—executing advanced or proprietary waveforms directly within the ML-9600 series hardware while preserving full interoperability with standard APIs and radio control interfaces.

Waveform Development and Porting Kit

The ML-9600 Waveform Porting Kit accelerates the transition of customer-developed waveforms from concept to fully integrated, on-radio execution. Providing a complete toolchain—including cross-compilers, documentation, templates, and working examples—the kit enables rapid adaptation and optimization of mission-specific waveforms for the ML-9600 series radios equipped with the optional waveform processor. Developers can build and debug their applications on external PCs using familiar workflows, then seamlessly cross-compile and deploy them into containerized environments on the radio. This flexible development path shortens integration timelines and empowers organizations to field new capabilities quickly while preserving the reliability and security of a managed SDR platform.
